Rated 1 out of 5 by from BAD PUMP I purchased one to take water out of my hot tub (2 person small soft side) and by the time it was pumped out the pump impellers melted down. I never once ran out of water or ran pump dry.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from CountyLine Transfer Utility Pump, 1/12 HP I bought this today and came straight to the house to assist the gravity drain on hot tub. It says that it drains 350 gals per hour and it ran for about 20-25 minutes along with the gravity drain from tub and then started smoking...it was submerged the entire time at the bottom of the tub.

Is this pump self priming

Asked by: Aubr
The pump is not self-priming. Ensure that vegetable oil has been used to lubricate the pump before use. To prime the pump, fill the suction hose with water, put it back in the water source, dry your hands, and start the pump.
