5ft Rake Good Product

Had the rake for about a month now and it has done everything I wanted it to do and more. Good solid item and should last for years. Only complaint is lack of drain holes in the square tube. After a rain, noticed about 1 inch of water inside the tube. There are now 2 small ones (1/4 inch) and after a second rain, no standing water present.

Low Quality & they don't stand behind it

We bought this rake on 6/23/23 (ticket # 38405) at TSC in Oxford , ME. We bought it to spread loam for a new lawn because our other one is too big. We only have maybe three hours of use on it at the most. It already has three fractured (not bent) tines. We also own an 8' York brand rake that our family has owned since the mid 90's that we use on the 1/4 mile driveway. Our York brand rake that's never broken a single tine in over 30 years of hard use! This Countyline/Tarter, after doing much easier work for three hours (not 30 years), has had three tines literally snap off where they enter the yellow bar that holds the tines. Beware the tines are considered "wear items" and are only warrantied for 30 days! Something not at all made clear during purchase. This rake is cheap junk! I will no longer buy implements from TSC as they do not stand behind their products! Until this point I had been a huge Fan of TSC ,not anymore..

Good value and works as it should.

Good value and works as it should. Tines seem to not be as rigid as they should be as I find myself having to bend them to proper shape after use.

Yard rake cat 1

The lower top link is an inch too high to fit a Kubota BX three point quick connect. It has no stand in the front so it has to either be lifted or propped up on blocks.

Needs finishing, BYO welder.

Has mostly held up for me when used with a 35hp HST Kioti, no tine fractures yet. Shortly after purchase I added the wheel kit to the implement and a hydraulic top link to the tractor. This changes everything since it's now a light grading tool. I over stressed the thing and bent the main c-channel, this is fine because I was able to remove the tines and flip the whole bar around, now I can work on bending it the other way. This will work for a time, but the c-channel is a fairly standard item I wouldn't mind cutting out and replacing, it should be boxed for strength anyway. Another interesting problem popped up this winter, the main box frame between the pivot support and the 3 point frame has expanded due to water filling from the positioning pin bore and freezing up. I don't think this is terribly harmful but I'll be drilling a few holes in the lower seam to allow drainage... guess I'll just point a heater at it to drive out the water and spray oil in there to stop corrosion until this summer anyway... I agree with others that it needs landing gear... Again, I will add that myself. Last item that would make a nice optional purchase, would be a drop-down blade. I might buy a 6ft loader cutting edge and mount that to an added pivot point.

Yes, I recommend this product.
