Very Handy Piece of Utility Equipment

I found several very handy uses for this piece of equipment. I attach a pair of logging tongs to the end with a short piece of chain and use it to pick up and drag fallen trees on my farm. The pole is strong enough to lift large 25 year old pine tree and the pole's length allows enough distance so you can turn your tractor without the tree interfering with your back tires.

Weak Bottom Attachment Points

Bought this boom arm to drag fallen trees around my property before cutting for firewood. The unit was slightly different than the one pictured.
The two bottom attachment pins were both mounted to tabs welded to the bottom cross piece. Both tabs bent the first time I used this boom. The metal used is extremely soft.
What I was lifting was not that heavy, and was certainly not 500lbs.
I suggest you buy something else. This would be for light duty at best.

Everytime i order online. It seems like I'm being sent returns or rejects. My boom pole literally had a rejected sticker on it and was scratched all over. It also had missing paint and surface rust. The clips didn't come with it either. Im not to concerned about the scratches and surface rust. Although I won't be ordering online any longer.
