Q: Can horned cattle use this? Scottish Highlands.
5 years ago- A: The openings on this feeder are about 2’ wide and could accommodate a horned cow that turns their head sideways but it’s not a recommended feeder for horned cattle. Anonymous5 years ago- A: The 90° corners curve down at the top of the mounting points. If a horse were to rear up, it could get its leg caught in this area, which would be a huge issue. It's a suitable feeder for a horse, if supervised, but this is the concern that causes the manufacturer to recommend extreme caution.5 years agoHelpful?

7 years ago- A: Depending on the size of the bale, you can only fit 1 into the 4x8 econo square bale feeder. Most of the coastal bales run about 1100lbs. 1500lb bale is quite a bit larger.7 years agoHelpful?
