Cottage Farms Direct Karl Foerster Grass is a tough, diverse use feather reed grass that blooms two to three weeks earlier than most all other varieties. These outdoor plants create a wonderful vertical effect in the landscape with tall bloom stalks that begin as a reddish brown and turn to a vibrant golden color in the fall. The grass is ideal for borders, erosion control, mass plantings, rain gardens, and even green roofs. These landscaping plants attract birds, and their blooms are well suited to be cut and used in flower arrangements. These garden plants are also tolerant to Black Walnut trees.
