I bought this grill as a wedding gift for a friend. They absolutely love it. It fit 6 nice sized porterhouse steaks on it and still had room. The cooking grates are cast iron so you must treat them like you would a cast iron pan to avoid rust. My only issue with the grill is i think the legs and wheel assemblies could have been made more sturdy. Directions on putting it together arent crystal clear, but if you have some intelligence and problem solving skills, it goes together easily. Im considering getting the hybrid model for myself (half propane half charcoal).

I have had this style Char Griller since 2011,, love it. Make sure to “season “ the entire grill inside and out before using, then every year on the outside will vegetable oil and heat resistant paint, they will last. I have replaced the cast iron grates and the coal pan inside after 13 years. Great grill, highly recommended.

Shipping damage

Took delivery of a damaged box. Should have returned it but took a chance. Dented and and chipped hood. Warmimg rack was bent. I used vice grips to bend it back. Charcoal grate was bent. Used vice grips to fix. Legs were scratched. In the end it is just a grill not a new car. Recommend if box looks pretty bad, return it.
