- A: The jack is supposed to be greased and ready for use. Use a high-quality automotive or marine-grade wheel bearing grease. Apply 3-4 pumps from a grease gun through the zerk fitting 3-4 times a year, or more frequently if the jack is used heavily or exposed to salt water.3 months agoHelpful?
