Q: How do the wires go hot and ground

- A: No this Is a spdt switch which means hot wire connects to middle screw. And comes out on either outside screw depending on position of switch. You could connect hot to one outside screw and ground to other outside screw then middle screw would be hot or ground depending on switch position BUT since this switch does not specify that it is “break before make” it could short hot and ground while the switch is being thrown.5 years agoHelpful?
