New handle design
Figured I would post for others who are reading the reviews about the handle being pinched. They must have redesigned the handle, because it's exactly the same setup as an old hi lift I used to use on the farm. Handle goes into a pocket, with a bolt holding it in. Not pinched down anymore. The photo on TSC is still the old design. Probably look around when you buy yours to ensure you aren't getting the old handle design. Also, you can buy rebuild kits online as well for the reese, although I have read it takes about a month to get it to ya.

Issues - not like the old ones
Grew up on a ranch and remembered how well the Farm Jack worked on fence posts. I tried it on a city fence and the city fence won! Very disappointed! The locking pins would slip, I am not sure the bar is a quality cast steel.

Good for low clearance items

Wanted it to jack up a boat lift in and out of the water to get the wheels off.

Be very careful when using this
This thing isn't hardly useful at all. It always falls over, (forward, toward what you are lifting) even with the expensive stand that you buy separately. I don't know what I am going to do with it, its a hazard to use.

It was available locally so I went for it.

I got this because it was readily available.
Day 1: Lost both retaining pins which keep the shear pin and handle pin in place. Switch these to bendable cotter pins instead of what they come with. I lost one of the pins and have replaced with a bolt for now.
It does function OK. The spring pins were stiff at first but after lubrication worked properly.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Jack quality & performance…
Basically it is same mechanism as most all of the time tested ‘Hi-Lift’ or ‘wagon jacks’ from decades past. The one item which takes away from its value is the ‘stamped’ versus old model ‘cast’ claw at the end of the rail. Makes using it for stretching fences a bit sketchy.
