This is a must-have tool

I've used (and abused) a prior one over the past decade, as we have cleared our property for a home site, pole barn, and driveways. This grubber is super handy and I have found it indispensable in doing minor brush cleanups as well as larger projects. The first one I had finally gave up the ghost as I attempted to pull a stump from a tree that came down during an ice storm. Couldn't picture being without it, so headed to TSC and picked up the replacement. (Truly, it was my fault that the first one broke - I asked to to do too much!)
I keep it hung from the ROPS pivot pins on my tractor so it's always handy. Highly recommended for property maintenance and cleanup.

I had mixed success. The first bush I pulled came out completely with roots. Others broke off or stripped all the branches off and left the roots. I think it depends on the root structure and the soil type.

The grip chain; three strands; gives adequate and substantial gripping to allow the use of a Farm Jack to lift the root-ball out of the ground. It will also allow you to pull three or four inch tree or brush clumps with the use of your pickup.

Works but not as good as expected. Smaller trees it just slips out. But larger trees or brush it’s much quicker to use this then a rope. Comes off easy once you pull the item out of the ground

It does not work. It is too large to grab onto trees and shrubs. It just slides off. The chain and teeth are too big to bite, not sharp enough. I just went back to using a piece of chain to pull them up. I should return it.

I've had the Shrub Grubber for a little over a week, but that's longer than I've had my John Deere 1025R tractor. I had a couple of projects lined up when I got the tractor home; one of which was to remove a persistent Mimosa tree that was growing against the slab under my workshop. I've tried cutting it and killing it with chemicals, but neither worked. The Shrub Grubber did. It took a couple of tries because of a wet, muddy yard, but using 4WD and the differential lock, the roots slowly released their grip and I pulled out major roots that spanned 10'-12'! I then wrapped the Shrub grubber around it and some fallen branches of other trees and pulled them all out to brush pile. It's already paid for itself in my opinion.

It will just strip the bark off anything that bends. Wrap it twice around lower trunk at the root and go slow. Pulled a couple of trees that were about 4” in diameter. The power of my Mule MX has been the only limiting factor.

This thing is GREAT!!
I've been pulling bushes / hedges (root ball and all), for years. I usually use a 4 inch tow strap.
this thing really sucks up, and grabs what ever you are trying to pull.

Works great, so much better than using a chain to pull out bushes and small trees. We had a few problems with the slick sassafras trees. The chains would slide up, once it came to a limb or bend in the tree it pulled it right out of the ground.

Used this all day pulling Multiflora rose out of a wooded area. This Brush Grubber worked amazingly well. Very satisfying watching huge chunks of the brush being pulled so easily. Used my 4 wheeler and my winch and it was easy
