Large leaves with a prominent, flat wide mid-rib grow in a colorful, upright rosette. Grows best in full sun but will tolerate partial shade and even appreciates it in hot climates. Highly nutritious, the leaves taste like spinach, but the plant is a member of the beet family. Frost tolerant. Swiss chard reaches maturity 45 plus days after planting.

My first package arrived late. The plants were tiny but well packed. They had sent a replacement which arrives a few days latter. the plants ere an excellent size. All are planted so I am looking forward to delicious swiss chard this summer.

Year after Year! This little plant was put in ground and has continued to flourish. After 3 years, all the rain this winter, the plant has provided 2 neighbors and me some fabulous Swiss chard! Cut & it regrows quickly.
