If BLTs are your go-to summer meal, it's time to add Bonnie Plants Red Beefsteak Tomato to your garden! The extra-large fruit can reach up to 24 ounces, filling your bread with the full flavor of summer goodness. The rich, meaty fruit tastes great whether eaten alone with a sprinkle of salt or cooked into your favorite culinary creations. The disease-resistant plant makes Red Beefsteak Tomato an easy-to-grow addition to your veggie garden. The indeterminate vines yield abundant, late-summer harvests of large fruit until first frost. Start with Bonnie Plants Red Beefsteak Tomato live plants instead of seeds, and you're off to a great start. The multi-purpose fruit tastes great in sandwiches, bruschetta, salads, or cooked into tomato pie or sauce. Plant the tomato in full sun, 36 inches apart. It grows 6 to 8 feet tall and matures in 90 days. Adding a tomato cage helps support fruit-heavy plants, which are resistant to fusarium wilt (F) and nematodes (N). Be sure to water your plant when the top inch of soil feels dry. Bonnie Plants live plant varieties are designed for your gardening success, whether they're disease-resistant, heat-tolerant, space-savers, or produce abundant harvests.

good size and good yield

This is one of four Bonnie tomato plant varieties I started with this year, planting them in late February here in Tampa. I used soil enriched with cow compost, and mulched well. I also added organic fertilizer and sprayed with blossom end rot (calcium). So far three of four bushes are being very generous, this one having among the biggest tomatoes. I did get some cuts, which I understand happens when there is a sudden infusion of water. I used soaker hoses but February, March and April tend to be our drought months, and then weeks of rain rain rain. The fruit is still good and this vine like two others are grown way over the cage and extended outward. I have had to tie up the branches. And still producing blooms, a record because in these months here in Florida tomato plants start to get blight. I would recommend this to a friend.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not setting fruit

Four months and two plants (heirloom beefsteak). Waste of time and money as neither plant set any fruit. If it's too hot to set fruit, don't sell them in south florida. Will not buy bonnie products again.

No, I do not recommend this product.
