- A: Expect coverage of this unit is up to 4000 square feet in a generally oval pattern approximately 80 feet out in front of the unit, 50 feet wide. The speaker projects sound on a horizontal plane in one direction. The lower the sound frequency (clockwise), the greatest coverage. In dense foliage and/or large acreage, multiple units may be necessary. The unit covers 6 feet high which is 3 feet down and 3 feet up from the middle of the speaker. Because it is Ultrasonic it needs to be at the same level as the animal you are trying to keep away from your yard. Sonic devices will cover more as it is audible and can be here inside the room. If the bats are behind the wall then the unit needs to be behind the wall. The sound pressure or ultrasonic waves do not travel thru walls.Anonymous3 years agoHelpful?

- A: the unit will cover 3 feet up and 3 feet down from the middle of the speaker. anything you are trying to repel you must place the unit at the same level as they are. front coverage comes out like a triangle.Anonymous3 years agoHelpful?

We were inundated with raccoons on our deck

We live in the mountains and folks who were vacationing. apparently were feeding raccoons and then left to go back to their own homes. After they left the raccoons showed up on our two level decks looking to be fed. We could not even go out on our deck. They were becoming so tame from the neighbors. They were at our back door and actually ripped a screen door. We were having every night in excess of 20 raccoons. I tried everything peppermint oil, peppermint spray, water guns, Radios, etc.. Nothing worked. Someone online mentioned trying an ultrasonic device. I figured it was my last hope and even if it didn’t work, at least I had tried. I purchased one. With no results the first couple of nights and then it seemed like they were not coming quite as frequently there were less of them maybe 10 at a time. so I ordered two more I put two on my top deck and one on my lower deck. You have to be patient and leave these things running with motion sensor. I’m just using batteries and not plugging it in. It has now been three weeks and we have had no more raccoons. We have been battling raccoons for literally six months. I can’t say enough good things about this product. It was $150 well spent for three of them .

BAD WON'T WORK

Got the Bird-x to get rid of squirrels at my feeders. I looked out the window and had three of the rodents with in 10 feet eating my bird seed. Does not work at all.
