- A: It is possible these spikes will help prevent snakes from entering, but unfortunately we have not tested the spikes for this purpose so we cannot be sure. A Yard Gard SKU 108535699 with it's ultrasonic waves can work to prevent snakes from wanting to be in the area.6 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can they prevent squirrels from chewing on wood siding

- A: Providing 10 linear feet of spikes per box, this bird deterrent is also a very effective squirrel deterrent. The spikes are long enough where the squirrels can't step on them, nor can they step through them. Exactly as described. I mounted with Alien Tape. The only drawback is that the length is hard to alter unless you have metal snippers. The robins finally decided to nest in trees rather than on my porch.
