This jack appears to be very well built, and can't be beat for the price. I looked around a lot, and most floor jacks have pretty average or worse ratings, even the expensive ones. I used it to rotate the tires on a 2012 Santa Fe (~4000-lbs) and was able to easily lift half the vehicle at once (which is well within the jack's load range). It is bigger and heavier than I expected, which is a good thing. I have used a 2 ton Mack for years but it finally cratered. This one blows my old one away. Yes, this is a budget jack, so you are probably not going to be using it on the race track. If that is what you are looking for, you probably are not going to be satisfied. This one is perfect for changing tires and occasional mechanic work. I just purchased this today, so I am hesitant to give it 5 stars without knowing how long it will ladt. It did come with a case which is a plus, but I am not sure I will find it that useful...(better than having to throw away a cardboard box I guess). <><

I was using this jack to lift a 1/2 ton truck in the front. 1-wheel at a time then using stands to support the weight so I could change the brakes. Jack failed on 2nd lift heard a pop wouldn't hold pressure any more leaked down with any weight
