Great Features!

This bug zapper is just what I need. The light draws the bugs in without having to listen to the zap sound. The bugs are then contained in a compartment in the bottom that sucks them in. This is perfect for summer nice when we are hanging out as a family!

Yes, I recommend this product.

No more bites!!!

I was really skeptical of the monster trapper. I didn’t think it would be able to “treat” an area the size of my deck which is about 100 square feet. We always normally use bug away candles but hate the smell. I set this up and within two days it had to be cleaned out. I couldn’t believe it. I think it trapped every mosquito in the neighborhood. I love being able to sit outside now.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Can’t wait to try it on mosquitoes!

Our big population hasn’t hit peak yet due to the time of year, but I’ve been impressed with the Monster Trappers ability to eliminate bugs of all sizes. We have an 80’s bug zapper, and this works just as well without the smell and sound effects.

Love My Monster Trapper!

I live in Texas where the bugs are huge, especially mosquitoes. I enjoy sitting outside, but sometimes I don't due to the insects. I placed my Monster Trapper outside on the back porch. It's so nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air with out constantly have to swat at a fly or mosquito or having to cover myself my insect repellent. The Monster Trapper is great at taking care of gnats, mosquitoes, flies, and other small bugs. It's definitely made my back porch much more enjoyable.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Perfect size!

This is great to have out on the patio while hanging out with the family. We can actually enjoy eating outside without being invaded by flies, and other insects buzzing around. It has a soft glow that isn't to glaring which is nice too in the evening. It is small enough that it will be easy to take camping with us too. I like that it can be hung up, or sit on a flat surface.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not Thrilled

This was much smaller than I thought it would be plus it requires electricity to use. It comes with a very short cord that you have to plug in which means that you have to keep it close to a power source and so you can't put it out in your yard or away from you. That means that you really can't get away from the bugs. It does just an okay job at zapping bugs because of its small size. I would not recommend this due to it having to be plugged in and its small size.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good...not amazing

Mosquitos love me. If there is a single mosquito in a mile radius, it will find me. This Bug Zapper DEFINITELY reduced the amount of mosquitos in my backyard. I can out with fewer bites in general. However, I was hoping it would work a LITTLE better. I love that it vacuums them in and traps them but sometimes it seems like the mosquitos dont get into its range enough. Less bites is definitely good though!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Zapped so many mosquitoes in my yard!

I have always had a TON of mosquitoes in my yard and I have even had it treated before but they are still really bad. I was really excited to try the Monster Trapper Bug Zapper. We have lots of mosquitoes around our pool so I decided to set up the bug zapper there. The first day it zapped DOZENS of mosquitoes and other bugs like moths. I was shocked how many it got. Over the course of several days it had so many bugs that I decided to clean it. It really does work gresr!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Love it!!

The monster trapper has helped me reclaim my front porch! I have tried so many different pieces of equipment for bug control that I had nearly given up but the monster trapper does just what it says. Super easy to install, just plug in and set on a hard surface or hang by the attached metal loop. The uv light is bright and attracts lots of different types of pests. The fan is strong enough to pull nearly anything into it but not loud so you can still enjoy the area the trapper is located. I live on a lake in south Mississippi so mosquitos are a huge pain! This little powerful thing has really helped so much!

It Works!

This is a Gem of a Find for me! I live in the South, Bug City! This handy device is a blessing for outdoor chilling. All you have to do is plug this baby in and it goes to work. I would recommend setting it on a tabletop nearby where you are relaxing outdoors. You can mount it, or hang it up but I like it to sit close by. After plugging it in, a handy Blue light turns on. Can you say bug magnet? Now to catch the little bloodsucking varmints it has an awesome sucking vacuum inside that sucks them right up. It collects the army of bugs in the bottom that has a easy swing open trap door that you empty them after they have expired. I absolutely love that I’m not having to spray chemicals to prevent bugs from eating me alive while I’m outside. I can now relax, enjoy the scenery, and sip my sweet tea without worrying if I’m the bug magnet!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Works as stated!

We’ve had this on our porch for a week, and have caught a number of bugs already. It’s not very large, so it’s not intrusive. Very easy to use, as you just plug it in. There is a blue light that comes on and the insects are attracted to it. They get sucked inside and trapped. We put it on a table away from any lights so the insects go directly to it. There is no zapping sound or smells. There is a hook on top if you want to hang it. Very easy to use!

Yes, I recommend this product.

The best bug is a dead bug...

The Monster Trapper is great! It's quiet and clean and a great alternative when we don't want to fire up the torch. It's light and portable so we can hang it on a hook on our patio or sit it on our wood railing and the fan has a sort of vacuum cleaner effect-bonus! It's also super easy to clean. However, because it is electric I didn't feel comfortable using it while it's raining, even under a cover patio.

I live in an area where mosquitos and other flying creatures are around all year. I have a great back porch that I have not been able to use for any length of time due to bugs. I plugged in the Monster Trapper and for the first time I was able to sit outside and truly enjoy my back porch! This bug zapper works great! I would highly recommend it.

No more bugs!

I have been using the monster trapper for a few days and noticed a difference immediately! First of all this is a great size- only about 1 foot tall- and is very nice looking. I love that it can be placed on a tabletop (or similar) hung by the top hanging hook or mounted to a wall. I sat mine up on a side table on my back porch. This is seriously the easiest thing ever to use because you simply plug it in and turn on. Once turned on, a blue UV bulb lights up, to attract flying insects and a dan sucks them inside. They are then trapped and out of sight! Once your trapper is full. You just open the bottom cage to dump out. The design is wonderful as it provides 360 degrees of protection- which here in the south, is super important! The monster trapper works better than anything else I have tried before and I love that it is safe for around children and animals- as it doesn't use chemicals. All in all, this is the best product for insects, including those pesky mosquitoes! I love the design, the simplicity, low maintenance. I would suggest everyone have one of these and I can't wait to get one for my front porch as well! Tips- don't set up next to other light sources- this is the secret weapon and draws the insects in.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Works great just plug it in!

This bug zapper works good to capture unwanted bugs. All you have to do is plug it in and it works. The light aatracts bugs and the fan sucks them into the mesh area to die off. I like that you can see how many bugs are being held if it gets full you can just unscrew the bottom mesh part and dump the dead bugs out. It also very quiet when it runs so no bugging there or zapping noise. Theres a hook on the top so you can hang it up or just set it on a table iys your choice. I have mine in my basment which always has bugs and it definitely works well I can see it filling up more everyday.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Quite little thing

This Bug Zapper is not your old school one that was blinding and distracting. This one is quiet even with the fan running the entire time. It has a more comfortable blue UV light that attracts more bugs. It is early in the bug season here in Ohio and it is attacting bugs. It is a very simple set up. You take it right out of the box and plug it in. It is then ready to go. I am going to pick up a second one as we are campers and these will surely reduce the bug traffic.

I received this bug zapper to try and it seems to be working properly. It was easy to set up and isn't an eye sore on my porch. Not many bugs out right now but it seems to be doing a good job. It's quiet and light isn't too bright. I think once the bugs really come out it will do a great job. Glad I can continue to use this product through the summer months.. may even take it camping with us.

Say bye bye to those pesky bugs!

live a little further north so with spring just approaching, the bugs have slowly start coming out. I have been able to use it a few times and I must say I was pretty impressed. It definitely zapped away the flies that tried to invade us! The UV-fluorescent lights shine in a way that the little buggers cannot resist. I’m actually happy with the size too. It seems very well made and feels heavy duty enough that it will last through many summers. It will be wonderful to sit outside in the summer during mosquito season, and be able to enjoy some air while this monster Zapper takes care of those pesky little bugs! I highly recommend this product to anyone that needs a powerful zapper!

Sweet Little Bug Trapper!

I really like the Monster Trapper that I got! It is so awesome! It is small so I can put it on my deck (the place where most of the bug seem to get me). It is safe to have around my children. I don't have to worry about any chemicals or anything else affecting them while we are sitting out side using this. Most products are not safe to have this close to any of us! This has been really effective so far! It is doing it's job and eliminating the pesky bugs that always seem to limit our time outdoors! This is such a great size, I plan on taking it with me when I go camping this year too!!! I also like how easy this is to clean! It opens up really easily and then I can dump out the bugs. I don't have to hose it down or scrub on it like other bug lights.

Bell an Howell - Monster Trapper, Bug Zapper

I think this is most ingenious product I have ever encountered. The Monster Trapper, Bug Trapper by Bell an Howell is wonderful. I placed mine in my indoor patio area after a warm weather streak that woke up every insect possible. This handy trapper takes the worries away of flies and sketters and more. Its quiet no mess makes all those little pest disappear. The insects can't escape after entering and as the pan fills you just dump it. The Bell an Howell Monster Trapper is apx 9 1/2 inches tall..its compact but gets the job done. It has a UV light that attracts the insects and then its bugs be gone all day and night. I find it works as well here during the day as it does at night. It then has a vacuum fan that invites the insects down below. Wasp around the pool will be no more with the Bell an Howell Monster Trapper. Its can be used indoor or outdoors and covers a large area. It can be hung by the handle or mounted and instructions to do so are included. I highly recommend The Bell and Howell Monster Trapper for all your flying insect needs and comfort.

I love it

This bug trapper is quite nice. It is very quiet, takes almost no electricity to run (3 watts I believe), is not blindingly bright, and best of all safer than traditional bug zappers. Instead of a metal coil that zaps bugs, it has a fan to trap them. This way, should a child get a hold of it there will not be a serious injury from the coil. I've been able to get several bugs in it so I know it works on mosquitoes and other bugs I can't identify.

Bye bye bugs

I am so excited to use this product this summer to help rid my yard of all those nasty bugs that stop me from enjoying my deck and yard! I live right by a small creek so you can just imagine how many bugs will be swarming around at any given moment! I love that all you have to do is plug it in and remember not to put it to close where you are because the light will attract the bugs so place a bit away from where you will be active. I love that it has a fan in it so it will suck the bugs into the basket and they cant get back out!! All you have to do is untwist the bottom to throw away the nastys and you can use a brush to help remove from the basket if you need to plus it is so cool seeing how many bugs you can get rid of which is a big plus in my world!!

Nobody likes getting bitten by a mosquito. However, I have a really bad reaction to mosquito bites, they actually swell up like little golf balls. This product is my saving grace. It's not too big so I can put it in on the patio and scare off the mosquitoes when it is time to grill in the summer.
