- A: You need to purchase a propane tank, (one is not included). You turn the black knob on the torch to start the flow of gas and then you use either a match or lighter to light the flame at the bottom of the torch.8 years agoHelpful?

Does a good job, the main things I want out of a torch like this is that it will light easily and not blow outfor this. torch, just remember not to have the gas flow too strong or it occasionally blows out. A light flow got the best performance out of this torch.

Disappointed. Torch goes out easily. Not sure what the little turn plastic turn is on the handle. At first you might think it controls the flow. Apparently not. Not mentioned on the instructions. Does not do so great at killing weeds which was my intent.

Not safe valve does not stop the flame
a year ago
shaft arrived bent from insufficient packaging .....lighting the torch : no problem; turning it off is another story.......no matter how tightly I twist the valve knob to the "off" position...the gas keeps flowing and torch remained buring for almost one minute...i had to jam it into the ground to extinguish the flame...has happed 2 more times since......not happy with that issue

I used up a whole tank of propane, and didn't burn up any weed seeds, which is what I was trying to do. Can I return the torch to my local store?

The torch was shipped to the store in Midland, NC, and it was signed for by "JEFF", but I was not notified that it was at the store. I called the store twice, before someone finally found the thing. And then, of course, I went to the store and picked it up.
