LiquidWood is a solvent-free, liquid epoxy resin for consolidation and structural reinforcement of rotted/deteriorated wood. LiquidWood will restore and permanently seal existing wood and protect it from further deterioration when absorbed into the raw wood. It is both insect and water-proof. It is the perfect primer and consolidant to be used prior to applying WoodEpox. Use on windows, doors, columns, decks, clapboards, millwork, furniture and more. Ideal for interior and exterior repairs. Continually specified for use on historic homes and buildings. LiquidWood has a 30-45 minute pot life (working time) after being mixed and the treated wood will harden in just a few hours.

Contains 1 quart of resin (Part A) and 1 quart of hardener (Part B). Product is easily mixed at a 1/1 ratio. GREENGUARD certified for virtually no VOCs. Non-hazardous products; safe to use in both exterior and interior applications.

REPAIR ROTTED WOOD: Penetrates and restores the strength of rotted/deteriorated wood. Repair wood substrate.
GREAT PRIMER FOR FILLER: The ideal surface primer for WoodEpox epoxy wood replacement compound; used to fill and rebuild missing wood.
30 MINUTE WORK TIME: LiquidWood has a working time (pot life) of 30-45 minutes. Treated wood will harden a few hours after application.
NO SHRINKAGE: Will not shrink, delaminate, crack, or crumble.

Preservation of historic moldings

I have been using this product for 25+ years for the restoration of an 1887 Queen Anne. For wood that is to be painted (not stained & varnished) it allows me to skip the replacement of historic woodwork that has been damaged or worn over the years.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Using wood consolidant

The product works well. I was working on a 1860 house that had various decay on a porch. The consolidant stabilized the existing wood before working the epoxy.

Too slow to set.

Thinner than I thought and sets much more slowly than expected. Instructions are great, but didn't act like they describe. Heat did little to speed hardening.
