Ripped after 5 minutes

I bought two pairs, charcoal and khaki. Within 5 minutes of wearing them they ripped from the belt loop down to the inseam. Mind you they ripped when I was getting into my car, I wasn't even doing anything strenuous. I was hesitant buying ripstop pants and rightly so. I guess they aren't ripstop, they are rip go pants. I would attach a photo of the pants, but I am currently stuck at work wearing the pants. For how much these pants cost you would assume that they would last longer than 5 minutes. They are comfortable pants that fit nicely but the materials used are not good.

These pants are just about perfect. The fabric is light but seems strong, the pockets are deep, and the side pocket on the right leg is perfect for my phone. I also like the reinforced patch on the front pocket where you can clip things.
