The brushed copper top is attractive
8 years ago
I bought and hung this feeder a little over 2 weeks ago so cant comment on its durability but appears like it would last for years. I have a total of 8 different feeders on a little over 1/2 an acre. So far the birds are shying away from this new one. The square openings are made just for the smaller birds, theres no way a larger bird like the cardinal will fit in there. I'm in hopes the birds will start to take a liking to this new feeder. If youre looking for a well built feeder for small birds Id say this is the one.

After the first year

I have had this Woodlink copper bird feeder for a year now. I have loved it and although I only gave it 3 stars I still am contemplating purchasing a second one. It is a beautiful bird feeder and is very easy to dismantle for cleaning. The downside, the copper finish has peeled off the base component leaving a nasty rough surface for the seed to rest on. I have not figured out a workaround for this. The rest of the feeder withstood the weather well but the base did not. I wish I could replaced the base part.

Works keeping the big birds out
3 months ago
I purchased this feeder because the Cowbirds were pushing all the smaller birds from my regular feeder. This feeder does a great job keeping the bigger birds out and lets my sparrows and finches eat in peace. My only complaint is that it’s a little small.

The chickadees, sparrows, & finches love the feeder and it protects them from the blue jays.

Price =/= Product

This is our first "caged" feeder, and it has done well at keeping the squirrels from decimating the seed within. Unfortunately, the grid on the wire surround is not large enough for some of our backyard friends. While sparrows and chickadees are doing well enough, towhees do not seem able to fit, in order to access the seed. (They are certainly eager and have been trying.)
Lastly, the materials/construction of this feeder would be appropriate for something costing perhaps 1/3 of this feeder's current listing. Even though the copper color is nicely done, I have concerns about its longevity, as the entire feeder is all quite thin, lightweight...and feels as if it's barely holding together.
No, I do not recommend this product.
