The Westinghouse WGen9500DFc EFI Dual-Fuel Portable Generator with CO Sensor produces up to 12,500 peak watts and 9,500 running watts. As a flexible dual-fuel generator, it runs on gasoline or propane (LPG). The heavy duty 457cc 4-stroke OHV Westinghouse EFI Engine is made of a durable cast iron sleeve and runs for up to 15 hours on a 6.6 gallon (25 L) gas tank, keeping you powered through the day or night with built-in fuel gauge, automatic low oil shutdown and GFCI outlets. Electronic fuel injection and push-button electric start makes starting effortless. A remote start key fob offers ease at a distance. A lighted control panel spotlights the transfer switch ready 120/240V 14-50R 50A outlet for home and RV and a L14-30R 30A outlet. Bought this generator to keep basic household functions operating during a power outage. Am impressed with the quality of the unit. Would have rated this purchase a 5 if the owner's manual was written for someone with the most rudimentary knowledge of generators in mind. Had to schedule a service call from the HVAC company for assistance in setting up the generator (including putting wheels on a unit I cannot lift, for example) and getting a tutorial on how to operate it.

I got this to upgrade from a 4500w carbureted pull start generator so this is a huge upgrade. After I got it together it was nice to be able to just push and button and start it. Also glad to have the flexibility to now use propane too.

I picked up the WGen9500TFc ahead of an upcoming storm, expecting to be without power for a couple of days, and this thing instantly impressed me. It’s built like a tank and loaded with features that make riding out an outage feel a whole lot less stressful.
Right out of the box, the outlet selection is fantastic: four 120V 20A GFCI outlets, a 30A twist‑lock, and a 50A receptacle — exactly what I needed to confidently run my essentials, including a 1.5 HP well pump. The electric start and remote start are absolute game‑changers. No more yanking on a pull cord in the dark or rain. Hit the button and it fires right up.
I also love that it includes an hour meter and volt meter, which makes staying on top of maintenance simple and keeps the generator running at its best. And then comes the real bonus: Tri‑Fuel capability. Being able to run propane or natural gas means I don’t have to deal with gasoline sitting in the tank, gumming up carburetors, or worrying about fuel going bad between outages. Huge win.
Westinghouse even includes the battery and a two‑stage LP regulator, so you’re basically ready to go right away. If it came with a high‑quality cover, a longer LP hose, and quick‑disconnect fittings with caps, it would be absolutely outstanding — but even without those, this generator is a powerhouse and a fantastic value.

CO Sensor Troublesome...

This is my second Westinghouse generator...first one with a CO sensor. Unfortunately, this CO sensor-equipped model seems much too sensitive. It has shutdown several times even when the generator is located away from any building as suggested in the operator's manual. A little change in wind direction will cause a shutdown I would not recommend a CO sensor-equipped generator based on my current experience.
