Q: Have a 1988 John Deere 650 tractor. the horsepower is 17 to 19 So I see him tonight at 6:30 running the motor between 2000 and 2300 RPMs Is this slip clutch proper for my size of equipment? I have a 4 foot brush hog.

Q: Will this clutch work with a 55 HP tractor connected to a rotary cutter, that was previously using a slip clutch (splined shaft on both sides)?
3 years ago- A: Compatibility: 1.375 in. 6 Spline For more information or to check the compatibility with your specific model of tractor, please reach out to the manufacturer for more information: 262.338.2161 or https://www.weasler.com/contact/3 years agoHelpful?
Q: Do you have a link to the correct product manual for this clutch which has springs? The product manual link you have on this page, is for a clutch with spacers, not springs. Thanks.

Q: is this compatible with the Countryline 5 foot round back rotary (brush hog) mower? This one is splined which is necessary splined or round shaft?

Q: Why is this to be installed on the implement and not the tractor PTO? I have it installed this way (on the PTO output). Is it for safety reasons or am I going to damage my tractor?
7 years ago- A: The reason clutches like this one are not to be put onto the tractor end is because the springs and hardware on them are considered catch points. A catch point is something that could grab onto other things and pull them in. The note is a warning given for this safety reason and needs to be followed.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: So the rating is 68 HP. Would this protect a 55 HP tractor using a 6 ft rotary cutter?
7 years ago- A: Please see the manufacturer's response below: The 560-6006 is set slip at a torque of 7966 in-lbs which is 68 HP at 540 rpms. The clutch rating is purposely set a little higher than the normal operating requirements of the implement it is on. This is so that the implement can use the full amount of power it needs but when something comes into the drive shaft system from either the tractor or the implement the clutch will slip to reduce that torque. What the torque setting on the clutch needs to be is dependent on what is required to run the implement and what would protect the weakest member of the implement that is in the drive train system. We have not done any testing on what other spring heights for this clutch will produce what torques. The 7966 in-lbs setting is based on the most common OEM usage items for this clutch. If your customer is seeing the clutch slipping too often then they can tighten the springs a little to help stop the excess slipping. For adjusting the springs it is recommended to turn each bolt ½ of a turn and retry the machine. It is important to do this change on every spring of the clutch. If the clutch is not slipping they can loosen the springs by doing the same ½ turn and checking how it is working.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is this clutch installed at tractor shaft
7 years ago- A: The clutch would go on the implement end of the D/L.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is there a replacement disc available
7 years ago- A: Yes. The manufacturer part number for a replacement disc is 970-4140. Please visit your local Tractor Supply for special order assistance.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: is there a HP rating for this clutch?
8 years ago- A: The rating is 68 HP.8 years agoHelpful?
