Q: Will this work on the County Line 5' Brush cutter that originally had shear pin?

1 Answer
  • A: The 560-6022 clutch ships at a preset torque of 8.000 in-lbs. If they see the clutch slipping frequently they can adjust the spring height to change the torque setting. When adjusting the spring heights all the springs need to be adjusted to the same height. Making the springs shorter will increase the torque.

Q: Will I have to shorten my existing pto shaft when I install this? This looks like it will shorten the telescopic movement.

1 Answer
  • A: If the driveshaft length was adequate before wanting to add the 560-6022, then yes the shaft should be shortened. You will need to shorten each side of your driveline approx. 4.5”. After shortening the shaft and adding the clutch back on it should be approximately the same length compressed as prior.

Q: Can these be torqued to less than 8000 in/lbs? That's around a 65 hp pto. My PTO is closer to 32 hp, so I need to torque to around 4000 in/lbs. If they can be torqued to 4k, what would the offset measurement be?

1 Answer
  • A: These clutches are designed with a torque spec of 8000 in/lbs. It is not designed for any other rating. A clutch is not available for the requested rating.

Q: What is the spring torque on these? You are supposed to loosen them annually to slip them, so I need to know where to re-torque them. Thanks.

1 Answer
  • A: There isn't a torque rating. Instead, it has a height rating of 31mm which is where it needs to be reset at.
