It only holds 4 or 5 flakes of hay at a time but that is exactly the amount I need it to hold for a couple calves that sleep in the barn over night. It is solidly built and well worth the money.

Had to modify to work

This product was easy to hang but my horse pulled the hay out between the wall and bars on each side. I put nails in the wall and wove wire on the sides to keep him from pulling out all the hay at once. Besides this issue the bars were too far apart and compartment not very big. Would not buy again, going for the slow feeder nets instead.
