Our Wagan Tech 1500W Power Inverter is high output, compact, and slim; hence the reason it is in our Slimline family of power inverters. We have dubbed this line 'Slimline' as all of the inverters are high performance but as slim and compact as possible. Featuring 3 US standard AC outlets, power and fault LED Lights, USB power ports, power switch and a thermal cooling fans, the small power inverter is ideal for your high power needs! On the front of the power inverter charger you will find 3 standard US 3-prong AC outlets, 2 USB power ports (5V, 3.0A shared), Red fault LED light, Green power LED light, cooling vents, power switch, and the front mounting flange. The rear of the inverter charger offers: Black (Negative) threaded battery terminal, Red (Positive) threaded battery terminal, Neutral to ground bonding terminal (wing-nut), mounting flange, and the two thermal cooling fans. Q: Can I use this inverter to provide 120v power while connected to my car battery as it is being charged by the car alternator

- A: The Inverter has been designed to be able to be used while the car is on and the alternator is charging the battery. The inverter will operate and provide 120 volts as long as the power supply (12v Battery) is providing the necessary power, and having your car on allows the alternator to charge your battery and will extend your possible run time for your AC powered devices. - A: The Slimline AC Inverter 1,500 Watt (item no. 3722), all of our Slimline model inverters are Modified Sine Wave Inverters. If you are interested in Pure Sine Wave Inverters, we recommend the Elite Model Inverters or the PURELINE model of inverters as they would all be Pure Sine Wave DC-to-AC Inverters.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can this be used with solar

- A: The manufacturer advised that technically,you are able to use solar power to recharge your batteries that will be used with this inverter. The inverter itself would have nothing to do with the Solar Power as you can not use the inverter using ONLY Solar Power directly. You would need a 12V battery as the power source for the inverter, and then additionally you would be able to set up a Solar Power System to recharge the batteries for the inverter.6 years agoHelpful?

- A: The Slimline 1,500W Inverter is a DC to AC Power inverter and as such its function is to convert 12 Volts into a usable 120V AC power and would always need to be connected to a 12V Power Source (Battery) in order to function. Whether the power is out or not, in order for the Inverter to function it would have to be connected to a 12V Power Source.6 years agoHelpful?
