No, I do not recommend this product.
For the best results, place the trap along walls or in areas where you've seen signs of rat activity, as rats typically travel along edges rather than across open spaces. Using a small amount of an attractive bait, such as peanut butter, and minimizing disturbance around the trap can also help improve success.

Will not set unsafe
The previous version with the metal pedal is no longer manufactured, and the current model features a redesigned plastic pedal. When used according to the instructions, the trap should set and operate safely and effectively.
