Prevail (Flunixin Meglumine) Equine Paste is prescribed to horses suffering with musculoskeletal disorders. Prevail is formulated to help manage pain and reduce inflammation, helping the horse to feel more comfortable. It can also help reduce fever. The paste is packaged in a 30g oral syringe. Consult your veterinarian for proper administration.How it Works
This paste contains flunixin meglumine, a non-steroidal, non-narcotic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, and potent analgesic. It is far more powerful as an analgesic than codeine, meperidine, and pentazocine, working within two hours of feeding. It reaches its peak response 12 to 16 hours after administration, and it works for a 24 to 36 hour period.
Special Precautions
- Not for use in horses intended for food slaughter.
- There is no known detrimental effect on the spermatogenesis of stallions during or after administering flunixin meglumine at the recommended dosage.
- Studies have not been conducted to prove or disprove safe use during pregnancy.
- Keep out of reach of animals and children.

Flunixin Meglumine
DOSE: 0.5 mg per pound of body weight per day for up to 5 days. Each calibration on the syringe' doses 250 lb. of body weight. Administer orally by inserting the nozzle of the syringe through the interdental space and depositing the required amount of paste on the back of the tongue by depressing the plunger. *Use dial edge nearest syringe barrel to mark dose. One syringe will treat a 1,000 lb. horse once daily for 3 days, or three 1,000 lb. horses one time.
