I am extremely pleased with the Vego EZ Self-Watering Tomato Planter with Trellis. The self-watering system makes growing tomatoes much easier by helping maintain consistent moisture levels, which is especially helpful during the hot summer months. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of watering and gives me confidence that my plants are getting what they need.
The planter box itself is sturdy, well-designed, and very easy to assemble and use. The built-in trellis provides excellent support as the tomato plants grow, keeping them organized and making harvesting simple. I also appreciate how neat and attractive the planter looks in my garden.
Overall, this planter combines convenience, durability, and functionality into one excellent package. If you’re looking for an easy way to grow healthy tomatoes with less maintenance, I highly recommend the Vego EZ Self-Watering Tomato Planter with Trellis.

Great container; TERRIBLE trellises.

I’m giving the self-watering planters I own (the generation 1 style) a solid 3. The planters themselves are great - mine are a few years old, have been outside since I set them up, and still look great. The containers themselves are a solid 5. The generation 1 trellises are pure garbage. They fall apart constantly and do not stay together to support any vegetables. The gen 1 trellises are a total zero. To anyone thinking of buying the EZ self-watering planters, avoid the generation 1 style.

I love Vego products. My only disappointment with the tomato cage is the trellis. As the tomato vines get heavier, the trellis comes apart. I have had to spend quite a bit of time, reconnecting the joints with vines spilling out as I do this. Please work on stronger joints.

Maybe Gen 2 Is Better - Finicky, Bad Wheels

Very finicky and not worth the cost. While the self watering is a great concept, the trellis is impossible to get quite right and the wheels are terrible. I’m probably going to put it on a plant roller at this point.
