Smaller than 2ft x 8ft . . . disappointing

This 2 ft x 8 ft garden bed is not correct size! It's smaller!!! I measured it after assembly in order to put it around my cattle panel arch which has been up 5 years. I knew it would be a tight fit and was prepared to move my cattle panels together just a bit. These 2 ft metal slats measure 20. 75 inches and 7. 75 inch width. The 4 ft metal slats measure 44. 25 inches and 7. 75 inches width. The manual states these metal slats are 2ft metal slats and 4 ft. Metal slats.
Total size put together the length is just over 7 ft 9. 5 inches, well under 8ft. And width is 20. 25 inches which us well under 2 ft.
This is a huge amount of lost planting space and is false advertising!!!
I'd send it back, but it was a Christmas gift from my husband I just opened up because it's spring and I can finally start getting my garden prepped.
The only good thing is the looks are great, because I hate the industrial look of the other ones being sold. The easy of putting them together was great. I'm shocked this was sold with the measure being way less than what it is listed as.

Great garden bed

This was a great find! Super easy to assemble. Materials guarantee that it’ll serve us well for a long time! We are growing 4ft grasses in it to create a bit of interest along the side of the house.
