UltraCruz Cattle Copper Bolus for Beef and Dairy Cattle provides a beneficial source of Copper designed for both beef and dairy cattle in an easy-to-use slow release bolus. Copper is an essential trace mineral to help support a healthy coat, boost the immune system, and aid in the prevention of Copper deficiency. These convenient, long-lasting boluses contain Copper Oxide particles to act as a slow-release source of Copper. When the bolus reaches the stomach, the gelatin capsule quickly dissolves to release the Copper particles. The copper then imbed in the rumen and slowly dissolve to gradually release copper. Q: If we give one bolus to adult cows, is it safe to supplement a Hi-Magnesium supplement that contains 1200ppm of copper? Or will this be too much in addition to the bolus?

- A: Hello! The calf bolus for bovines under 500 lbs or 6 months of age. Anything over that weight will get the adult bolus. We recommend you administer the bolus with a balling gun. For the calf bolus, we recommend the Medium Plastic balling gun, and for the adults we recommend the large plastic balling gun. They are not designed to be added into feed because the risk of being chewed by the animal.6 years ago
