This stock tank is ideal as a waterer/feeder for horses and other large animals or a grooming/flea dipping tub for large dogs. It's also suitable for everyday lawn and garden usage. Made from sturdy LDPE (low-density polyethylene), it comes with a black plastic finish. This Tuff Stuff oval tank is built to last.Note: Product may vary by store. - Sturdy Flexible plastic construction is made from LDPE

A great product and purchase, for a rescue agency!

I am a co-founder of the Turtle Rescue League, a non-profit. We are always looking for cost saving measures to house our turtles. This product has been a real saver (of time, money, and turtle lives). It is lightweight, sturdy (both full and empty), easy to clean, and spacious (providing maximum useable enclosure space for our turtles).
For the health and happiness of both turtles as well as our volunteers, we will never buy a glass aquarium again. This is a superior product, readily available just down the street at Tractor Supply, and at such an amazing price!
Out organization has bought 2 already and more to come.

Worked for a Month

I was using the tank as an indoor pond for my turtles and fish. One day i noticed that my floor was soaked and my water level dropped at least 10". I had to put all of my stock into glass tanks :( I have only had this tank for about a month or so. I called my local TSC and the manager told me that "they all leak" and that they are only made for livestock and the livestock have it gone before it leaks. So, i will be on my way down to TSC to refund it. The manager said "I'd recommend not getting another one." My 2 stars is because i loved it and it was perfect...until it leaked. BTW: I posted the review 2 reviews up when i first got it. By Km123

Durable, but needs a different drain plug design

This trough is very durable. That is why I purchased it. The drain plug situation is horrible. It leaked the first week we had it. I put some thread tape around the plug and put it back in. It stopped leaking for a bit. Then it leaked everything out. We realized that the entire drain part was loose and it was leaking around it. There’s no way to fix that because it is held in the pressure-formed foam. We tried sealing it with Lexel and it still won’t hold. I guess I’ll use this as a hay trough and buy a different brand for water.

The material of this tub has been changed and is lesser quality and I paid more for it. PLEASE go back to the old material that was rubber like instead of flimsy plastic that will be easily cracked and ruined.
