Chain Breaker Tool does the job

Tool worked great. Needed this tool Tractor supply had it on hand for pickup. Tool worked fine for my 40 Chain which is 1/2 inch. Grind down the link you need to break and this tool easily lined up and pushed out the old link. Theres plenty of videos on youtube on grinding the old link.

Sorry there is no option for 0 stars. Made 3 separations then the tool failed. The material is too soft and the jaws deformed. It would no longer clamp the chain.

Absolutely terrible, could not break a chain at all, pushed the pen about halfway and couldn’t go any further.
