No ATV is complete without a good winch. The Traveller 12V ATV Electric Winch has a wired remote and automatic braking action for safety. It comes with a 46 ft. x 3/16 in. galvanized aircraft cable. Designed to hold up to 2,500 lb. the Traveller Winch is perfect for most ATVs, boats and snowplows.

- A: When a winch clutch turns freely but will not latch or lock into the engaged position, it means the internal planetary gears or the engagement pins are not aligning or are blocked by debris Try these troubleshooting steps from easiest to most advanced to fix the problem: 1.The "Rock and Pull" Trick (Alignment Fix) The clutch knob moves an internal ring gear that must line up perfectly with a set of teeth. If they are resting high-point to high-point, the clutch cannot snap into place. Pull out about a foot of winch cable by hand while the winch is in free-spool. While attempting to turn the clutch knob back toward the Engaged position, physically tug or rock the winch cable in and out. Alternatively, tap the "IN" or "OUT" switch for a split second. This tiny shift in the drum will often let the internal teeth drop into place, allowing the clutch knob to latch tightly 2. Check the Knob’s Internal Pins If the knob spins completely freely with zero resistance, the pins or the spring keeper directly beneath the plastic cap may have disconnected or jammed Clean any mud or debris around the base of the clutch knob. 3. Clear Out Rusted or Binding Gears (The Full Fix) If the knob still spins without catching, water has likely bypassed the seals, causing the sliding gear ring to rust to the inside of the gearbox casinga month agoHelpful?
Q: When installing the wireless receiver on the 2500 lb winch, why cut off the plugins of the harness and the hand switch per instructions? Cant you Splice the receiver into the cable so you have wireless AND a manual switch.
