Q: Does this winch draw power from a trailer wiring plug.
7 months ago- A: No, a 10,000 lb. electric winch does not typically draw power from a standard trailer wiring plug (like a 7-way) because it requires much more amperage (hundreds of amps at high load) than trailer plugs provide, instead connecting directly to the vehicle's battery with heavy-gauge wiring and a solenoid. You connect it to your vehicle's 12V battery, often using quick-connects or dedicated wiring, to get the necessary high current for operation.7 months agoHelpful?
