Not bad for the price for longer term storage use!
Found this on sale and figured I would give it a try! It is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than most blanket racks, so keep that in mind when you decide to order or not. It is a nice design that can either go over a 2-by board, or it can be screwed into a wall more permanently. The bars swivel, but the 2 on the ends have an extra piece that limits how for they can swing out, while the 2 in the middle can move side to side freely. The bars are definitely not as strong as designs that have a lower support added in, and yes, if you put super heavy stuff on them, they'll droop a bit. In winter, I manage my blankets differently, so this is strictly for off season storage to get them out of the way. I have them hung fairly high (used a ladder) and I placed them on the bars backwards from what you'd normally do. I folded the top of the blanket over to the side to hang nicely, but I found that doing this not only used up less space, but it keeps more of the weight closer to the wall where the bars are better supported. I layered sheets and mediums from smaller to larger (sort of like they'd be if you were layering then on a horse) and hung several together on the bars, again to save space. Totally not logical for in season use, but works great for out of season storage. I strung up some baling twine to support the blankets and prevent horses from pulling them off (mine are set up in the back of a stall) and it helps to keep the blankets from starting to slide off due to weight. I was able to get 4 sheets, 3 100g blankets, 2 220 blankets, or a single heavy weight 360-400g blanket on each bar. I didn't try doubling the heavies, but it might still work ok. This is definitely not a blanket bar you can just toss heavy things on day in and day out, but for the considerably lower price I think it serves very well for a longer term storage option! I think if you hang the blankets with the bottom edge toward the wall, the bars will droop with less on them because so much of the blanket weight is at the unsupported end of the bar. Just my 2 cents, but I think this will be a great storage option to get my blankets off the stall walls and out of the way when we're not using them! Wish I had bought a third!
Yes, I recommend this product.
