I think the basting of the bone softened in a bit. My golden retriever was able to reduce it to a sliver and just one day, but he obviously found it very tasty.

Rancid oil smell.

Dogs do not even touch bone after smell check. I smelled rancid oil odor. No way I am feeding to my dog. Now I am chasing the puppy, because he is stupid.
