Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected I needed to pull wooden fence posts out of this Dallas Tx black clay, I know this is designed for t-post, but gave it a try. I was amazed at how easy this tool works. I did buy a 2' piece of chain with a slip hook on one end to wrap around the posts and a 2X6 about 2' long to use as a footing. Without the 2X6, the puller tries to sink into the clay. The leverage is incredible, but the hinge with hook on the end keeps the post coming straight up, this is a key feature. If you pull a rotten post at an angle it will break at ground level and you really have a problem, ask me how I know. The wife actually pulled the first post!!

A brief description, please, of how it works and how you work it...thank you

Asked by: Tapabill
1) The post puller is completely assembled and ready to use. 2) Set the post puller upright with the handle approximately waist high. 3) Position the T-post lock around one of the post studs. 4) Push the handle down to loosen the post. 5) Move the handle back to waist height and fit theT-post lock around a stud. 6) Push down on the handle. The post should come out of the ground. If it does not, repeat step 5. Note: Hook can be used with 1/4” chain to extract wood and other non “T” type posts.
