Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for what it is. Lets face it, its a pipe, with handles, and an endcap. But it does exactly what it was meant to do. Another reveiwer said they didnt like because it was to small for old bent t-posts. He must be pounding junk into the ground. I actually like the smaller diameter. It makes it easier to control, and alot less flopping around on the post. But i suppose if u plan on putting in trashed t posts, u should consider a larger diameter pounder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Great! So much easier to use this to put in those T-posts! So glad I bought it...wasn't sure if I should spend the money...relieved I did! The posts were in in seconds!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too narrow to use. May be ok for new, never used, stakes but if there are any burrs on top from previous pounding the stake won’t fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! Should have bought one sooner. This tool works great, and isn't too heavy. The straitening hook works well also. I should have bought one of these along time ago. Instead of standing in my front loader bucket, beating t posts in with a sledge hammer, like an idiot.

Will this drive other posts besides a T-post? I'm using more than just the T-post in my fencing.

Asked by: LadyDoberman
The answer depends on the type of post you are trying to drive. This is a manual post driver and was not designed to drive anything with a wide bottom into the ground. If you can specify the type of posts you are trying to drive, I can confirm if this is feasible or not.

When driving the post, do you have to bend over to reach the flange on the post with this driver? I have a bad back and if I have to bend over to drive 100+ posts, I'll be laid up on a heating pad for days.

Asked by: RLyons
I wouldn’t advise this job for anyone with a bad back, but the post pounder can generally be used without having to bend over.

The CountyLine T-Post Pounder has a straightening hook on the end. How is that hook used? What is it for?

Asked by: BoatRDavid
To straighten the post if it kinks/bends while pounding or to hold the post it in place.
