Fairly quick ship, driver was friendly and helpful. Mower was simple to assemble what there was to do. Plastic motor housing was damaged but TSC and Swisher customer service we're friendly and helpful, sent a new one right away for me to install (I was good with that). When the new cover arrived it also was damaged (box was not damaged so pickers must have damaged it) so I emailed Karen at Swisher and she is sending another. Jury still out on that but so far their response has been good. The battery compartment is set up for a motorcycle battery, should be adjustable for multiple sizes, a lawnmower battery will work fine and is less expensive. Mower already had oil in it so they must have ran the motor before I got it and it started no problems. I have read reports of belts burning up regularly, I can see a couple possible solutions the belt tensioner will need to be paid attention to as the belt breaks in and you will want to find a way to bend the tensioner lever so a rope can be attached to it so when you hit a spot in the yard that stalls the blades you can pull it and turn the blades off without having to get off the tow vehicle to do it. This will definitely help save your belts. The crank (height adjustment) will need lubrication so it will work freely. What else??? Oh it would be nice to have wheel brackets that you could raise or lower with pins so you could gain even more height then use the crank to fine toon (something I plan on doing myself) and of course a ball coupler on the hitch would be best, I will add this as well. Other then that price compared to comps is the best and the machine seems to be well built and mowes well.
