This 6-person above-ground Twister Pod. The Tornado Shelter is constructed with heavy-duty steel in a cylindrical shape and is engineered to withstand EF5 tornado winds (200 plus mph). It is 5 ft. Q: Will this fit under basement stairs?

A: The Twisterpod will not fit inside standard door ways, so you will not be able to install it under stairs. Our panelized units are meant to go inside pre-existing buildings, that might be a better option for you.

Q: This is an above ground shelter, so is it Anchored? And if so, how?
