- A: Placing any wood-burning fireplace or chiminea on a wooden porch or under an 8-foot ceiling is extremely dangerous and not recommended. The intense heat and flying embers pose a significant fire hazard to the combustible materials of the deck and ceiling. Recommended setback distance from a wall. Standard safety guidelines recommend that outdoor wood-burning fire pits and fireplaces be placed at least 10 to 20 feet away from any structure or combustible material, including walls, ceilings, trees, and other flammable objects such as furniture.10 months agoHelpful?

We received our out door fireplace earlier than expected but we were notified when it was going to be delivered. We had to put it together but the instructions were easy to read. It is beautiful as expected and works perfect for our space !! We are very Happy.
