This is one of the most dependable tapes out there. I have tried many and for the most part they all fail after just a few uses. This has never failedme.

Blade always curls to the side. Verry annoying make the tap unusable. It would be nice to find a replacement blade.I have three the same way. The 25' don't do that and the 16' are more expensive never a two for at the holidays.

The durability, functionality and build quality of FATMAX tape measures are why almost every professional, including myself use them. You’d be hard pressed to find a tape at any price point better than a Stanley.

Don't waste your money. I own a cabinetry shop and over the past 2 years all I seen is the decline of quality. It started when I needed to update our tools to refresh the shop. That included in purchasing a sum of 16' fat max measuring tapes. Soon I saw that they would be returned to our defective or repair section. All with the same issue. The rivet holes would be torn at the clasp tearing through the blade. This would render the tool useless. After going back and forth with Stanley, the outcome was determined to be a denial claim for warranty. So, I went again to purchase some more, inevitably with the same problems. Stanley used to represent quality tools and products. I no longer believe this to be true. I feel like I'm better off with on of their competitors.
