I’m a lady....boo hoo to the boys

I’m a little gal who begged to have her horses in the backyard. My husband refused to allow it so I purchased this driver and all the things needed to install it myself. I learned a thing or two. 1. Definitely need to use your knees as mentioned in another review. 2. Definitely need to find a rhythm that works for you, also mentioned in another review. 3. Definitely wear gloves or experience load$ of blisters on yer hands. 4. Don’t give up. It will git yer post into even the toughest of grounds. Mine is laden with roots and rocks. 5. If you find the spring is stuck or not moving fluidly, flip the driver and give it a good shake and it fixes itself.

stupid idea

at first look i thought this was a graet idea, OOOHHHH but how wrong i was!!!! the spring in this driver only makes it harder to drive a T post. it takes a lot lot more physical effort to make the driver contact the post. i would never buy this driver or recommend it to a friend (maybe to someone i don't like) I took the driver to the barn and used a chisel to remove the weld spot and took the spring out!! now i have a rael post driver.

Terrible

We just bought this today, attempted to use it, and it’s not functional. There is a giant weld inside that you have to maneuver the post around.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Bid Help but go with std hammer tool

mixed review on this one. what energy you save on the upforce (with spring help) you have to use on the downstroke to make up for the lack of weight of a solid driver. needs horizontal hand bars on the side because you have to hold at the bottom to hammer the post, which makes your hands sore from being in a bind at the bottom of the handles. your hands slide down as you have to exert extra force to compress the springs to contact the post with force. Next time, I'll go with the regular. Either way, beats using a sledge hammer OR having to raise a std hammer higher up on a tall post. TSC has the best prices, options and in stock locally.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Stay away from the Spring Loaded Post Driver !

This Spring Loaded Post Driver is the worst design I've used in fence building. It takes a lot of downward energy to make a small amount of progress, and seems to wear me out much sooner than the normal post driver. Also, another big issue is the handle design pinches your "pinkie" finger to the point it could do some real damage when coming down on the post. So, stay away from the Spring Loaded driver, and watch out for the handle design, too.

No, I do not recommend this product.
