I bought this knife in 2024 and have absolutely loved the knife itself, it was everything I hoped it would be, incredibly durable construction, well balanced. But BE WARNED: the sheath, it’s molded plastic so if the retention mechanism breaks it cannot be repaired. I asked SOG to sell me a replacement and they told me I’d have to just buy an entire extra knife..

The only real problem is the sheath. It needs more retention, in my opinion. I’m worried that the knife is going to come out when I’m out jogging. But, the knife itself is perfect. Probably the best knife I own. I am very pleased with my purchase and am only taking one star off my review because of the sheath.

Any idea when will they be 50% off?. Good knife in my opinion. l would love to see these on sale for 1/2 off. Don't have one. But don't need to too know they are good.

I bought this knife about 4 months ago and initially really liked it but stopped carrying it because I was also having issues with the sheath retaining the knife. I brought it out today and realized that I wasn’t forcing the knife in hard enough as to properly go past the plastic tabs that hold the knife into place in the sheath. That was the only issue that I’ve had, so keep that in mind when reading those reviews.
