The design is amazing! Great handle, and very substantial weight, but very well balanced and easy to handle. I haven't tested it on a watermelon yet, but the blade is extremely sharp and well made. I have no doubt it will go through easily. Also very easy draw from the sheath. Not practical for carrying, but it's great to have in your house just in case. Great product overall!

It is a good solid knife, probably better as a survival knife than a bayonet. It is extremely heavy and makes the weapon barrel heavy.

Good, heavy duty tool but for my AR platform, the barrel ring slides past the flash suppressor and kind of floats around the rifle barrel. Clips onto the lug fine but wouldn't take too much action before failure. Hopefully, I won't have to go to fix bayonets anytime soon........

So I bought this to go with my AR I built to match my M16. I was an 18 yr old Cadet and the first rifle I ever fired was an M16A1 and I was in love. I ultimately became an armor officer and only carried an M9 on active duty, but I always wanted my own M16 and Bayonet! Plus I just love good knives…especially fixed blades. I have several Kabar knives and specialty folders. When I found SOG on line, I had to own one. It did not disappoint. It really is a piece of art. As a fixed blade combat knife, as a large hunting knife, as a survival knife, as a bayonet! It is well built, durable, sharp as crap and I wish I could carry it everyday to work🤣. People would look at me funny, but I do love fixed blades knives.
