SIMPSON 4,000 PSI 3.5 GPM Gas Cold Water PowerShot Professional Pressure Washer, Honda GX270 Engine, 49-State

The pressure washer is supposed to be rated for commercial use and it is the only reason I paid nearly $1000 for the machine. I only ever intended to use it at home and I ran it three times from date of purchase (06/30/25) until the fall. I read the entire manual (I always do this with my equipment) and followed all the instructions for running and maintenance. It was stored indoors all winter and I went to use it today... filled up with gas, connected the hose, and ran water to clear air bubbles from the line (as per operating instructions). Then the brass pump manifold sprung a leak where it joins the cast iron pump housing. I never got to run it and now I am trying to get Simpson to honor the warranty claim (allegedly 5 years for pump!). But naturally, Simpson and the local servicer immediately blamed me, without any evidence yet, of improper maintenance and allowing it to "freeze over winter." I informed them that it was indoors all winter and did not freeze or have water inside. Then, the Rep shifted to how I failed to inject "pump protector" into the pump housing. I asked where this was in the manual because I never read it or was this vital maintenance liquid included in the $1000 package. Ultimately, theres NO WAY this pressure washer could handle commercial use and the gasket/o-ring couldn't survive even 1 season inside the garage. Absolutely pathetic. My advice: Walk away and look for another manufacturer (not FNA Group). And now, the PW is only $800? Why did I pay $1000???

This is an update to: Out of the box handle trigger not working (4000 psi power washer broken wash gun) Purchased April 1, 2026 While Simpson informed me that the part is back ordered I decided to go back to the store; when I explained my situation the manager was kind enough to give me a new water gun for free! That's what I call smart customer service. I'll be coming back. Thanks Joe! And yes, the machine works! Almost too well. Powerful if a little dorky.

Tired of cheap electric power washers I decided to invest in gas powered one. Out of the box a part needs replacing. On the phone with Simpson to request support. The part needed is on back order. Not a good sign

Has plenty of power (9 HP 3.5 GPM) and flow for around the house work. It’s also a little lighter and has a smaller footprint than the next size up. I like this size as it takes up less space in my storage area and it is easy to move around the yard. The company I worked for had one of this brand but the (13 HP 4GPM) version and it is 15 years old and is still works great reliable.
