Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 diesel engine oil is a full synthetic motor oil that features exclusive Triple Protection Plus technology. It's formulated with fully synthetic base oils plus advanced additives to protect against wear, deposits, and oil breakdown. It also provides better low-temperature flow and enhanced fuel economy performance of 1.5% (compared to 15W-40 oils). Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 is suitable for new and older diesel-powered vehicles from Class 8 tractor/trailers to heavy-duty diesel pickups, delivery, utility, school bus fleets, and motorcycles. FORD 6600 (600 Series) D / DT is an oil meeting the New Holland ESN-M2C121-C specification and with viscosity grade 20W-20 (32°F to 90°F). Rotella T6 5W-40 does not have this specification. Shell Rotella T6 is the best heavy duty oil on the market. Price point for superior protection attracted my attention back in 2015. I have been through three 6.6L Duramax vehicles since and not one issue with engine wear. From extreme heat to Midwest winters this oil constantly performs.

I am using this in my new John Deere tractor. It flows well in winter making cold starts easy. It’s is resistant to thermal breakdown as I have had this oil in my tractor long enough to see oil consumption is virtually non existent. You spend. Lot of money for a diesel so you want to make darn sure it hold up to hard use can throw at it; even with that, the oil has not changed color. Durability and longevity is what I want in my investment and Rotella will take me there!
Yes, I recommend this product.
