While skunk spray is made of sulfur compounds, Sulfodene Medicated Shampoo will not remove the smell because it is designed to treat itchy skin and lacks the oxidation power needed to break down those stubborn oils. Using it will actually just mask the odor temporarily and can lock the oily stench deeper into your pup's fur. We’ve been using this on our pups and have seen great results! Their fur is always soft after bath time. For being a medicated shampoo it doesn’t have a strong scent which we appreciate. It’s worth giving it a try.

I tried this on my bichon with sensitive skin and it works so well. She tends to get itchy or uncomfortable with some other shampoos I’ve tried on her and this one doesn’t cause her any irritation or itchyness! I would definitely recommend if you have a sensitive pup!
