Varathane Triple Thick Polyurethane Wood Finish allows for the fast completion of wood projects without compromising on protection. With a formula that creates a durable coat up to three times thicker than other polyurethanes, you can finish jobs in just one application. Ultra thick coating provides exceptional scratch protection and dries to the touch fast. Self-leveling poly can be easily cleaned up with soap and water and is appropriate for nearly all interior wood items. - A: Happy to clear things up, Chris! Rust-Oleum Varathane Triple Thick Polyurethane is not considered food-safe, and it has an indirect heat tolerance of up to 200°F. - A: Randy, happy to help! One, thick smooth, uniform coat of Rust-Oleum Varathane Triple Thick Polyurethane should be applied with a high-quality synthetic bristle brush. Make sure to apply it in the direction of the wood grain for a smooth finish. Applying too thick could delay the curing process. If a second coat is desired, let the previous coat dry for at least 2 hours and then lightly sand with 220 grit sandpaper prior to recoating. Q: I'm looking for a product that I can put a high gross on a title floor. I'm concerned about the smell and if it will last. Can I put it down with a roller. Or maybe you could recommend a product that will work. Thank you hope you can help.
