South Houston area, I have grey and mexican squirrels who would rather forage than touch these. Only one of the two had A bite mark in it and apparently he told the others they were horrible. After a few weeks of not being touched, I threw them out and switched back to corn cobs.

Totally ignored by the squirrels in my area. Thought it would keep them away from bird seed feeders. Could not get them interested in it.

I like these because they are slowly eaten and always there giving squirrels something else besides my bird feeders and lasting thru winter. Of course you can feed additional nuts etc. which squirrels will prefer but the logs will always be there when you can't be. Claimed to be only the hearts of corn kernels experts say that is all the squirrels eat anyway. These store well compared to whole cob corn which I find totally cored out by worms and bugs if held over for the next winter. If I had only so much money I would put it into these as feeding the wildlife can literally eat you out of house and home.

Had two of these out, along with seed, fruit and real corncobs for two weeks. These are completely untouched. Everything else is gone but apparently even starving squirrels don't seem interested. I was hopeful I could switch to these instead of dry corncobs but turns out no, at least not to feed squirrels. Thinking about turning them on a lathe, they are wood like.
